What is Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy?
PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. PRP is blood plasma that has been enriched with platelets. Platelets are known best for their mechanism in clotting blood. Platelets contain hundreds of growth factors and bioactive molecules that are very potent. At Ava Medspa, we draw a small portion of blood and extract platelet rich plasma. That plasma is later used to inject into areas that require elastin, collagen, and tissue regeneration.
PRP Facial
We can use your platelet rich plasma to promote collagen, regenerate and enhance the complexion of our skin. This treatment is also used to combat acne, aging skin and scarring.

PRP Hair Restoration
How is PRP used for hair restoration? The plasma in our blood contains many bioactive proteins such as the vascular endothelial factor (VEF) and the transforming growth factor (TGF). These growth factors help us heal and work in the process of hair growth.
We will place small injections of these growth factors into the scalp to stimulate the base of the hair. By doing this we can improve microcirculation in the area.
We will slow down the progression of hair loss and regenerate new growth.

Microneedling
Microneedling involves the concept of the body’s ability to repair itself and regenerate when it experiences injury. This healing process produces new collagen. We can manipulate this process and control damage to stimulate collagen and promote natural cellular rejuvenation. How does it work?
One of our aesthetic providers will use a Microneedling pen to create micro-injuries to your skin. A Microneedling pen is a small device that has little needles on the tip of the device.
Microneedling is not exclusive to the face. You can have this treatment done in other areas such as stretch marks of the the abdomen.
